Grantham Museum receives donation from Swimarathon Fund

On 29th June 2017 two of our directors, Christine Robbins and Alison Paxton, attended a presentation ceremony at St Wulfram’s Church and were proud to receive a £250 donation to the Museum from the Rotary Club of Grantham. Alison Paxton said “We’d like to say thank you to all those who help to organise and take part in the annual Rotary Swimarathon which raises so much money for local charities and good causes“.

“As a charity, Grantham Museum relies completely on the good will and donations from the Grantham & the surrounding areas community. Our volunteers and staff are profoundly grateful for the support we received to keep the history of Grantham alive”.

Thank you Christine

Today we’d like to recognise the hard work of our volunteer Exhibitions Director Christine Robbins.

Christine gives countless hours of her time to the museum, planning, researching and installing exhibitions.

She’s helped us form strong links with organisations throughout Grantham and beyond, she works with groups of museum volunteers deciding how to improve our permanent exhibitions, she gives talks and radio interviews, and always helps out at our many fundraising events.

She’s a great ambassador for the museum and we’re very proud of her.

Thank you Christine.
